As we headed back up US-1 the morning of the wedding, we were looking forward to the wedding, having spent the evening before at their rehearsal dinner. Their friends and family were stylish, smiling, hugging, and open. It was a perfect Maine day, which technically is every day if you ask me. Dan met the guys at the beach nearby, and I headed into hair and makeup, clothes steaming, and laughter. After everyone was ready, we headed into the large space in the home, to sign the Ketubah. Forever Beautiful.
A little while later it was wedding ceremony time, with all the guests seated and the two huge trees flanking their chuppah. Mazel Tov indeed.
A meander through the summertime wild fields lead the guests to the tented reception, with live music, dinner, dancing, and the works. We felt like we were all snuggled into a secret maine getaway hidden from the world.
