A Seal Cove, Maine Wedding: Susan & Chris
Susan and Chris planned an epic Maine wedding with the incredible help of Ali from Wedding Angel Events. It is always a logistical feat to coordinate a wedding on a property that does not “do” weddings. You really have to think about everything, even the bathrooms, but it came out beautiful! They are also some of our favorites to photograph since everything needs to be extremely intentional.
They each got ready in unique coastal Maine homes on the property, full of great light, odd details, and charm. Their first look took place in a wide open field overlooking Seal Cove. There is something about the grass that grows on islands in Maine, it’s just different in a good way (a little unkempt).
From there, it flowed seamlessly — family photos, the ceremony overlooking the cove, and a tented reception that felt straight out of a dream. As it always does, the sun dipped low and as it sometimes does, painted the sky to set the perfect backdrop for their portraits. We call it outdoor TV when all the guests step outside the tent to admire the sunset :) Its impossible to compete with. Then, when it got dark, everyone danced under the disco balls.
