Camp Mataponi Wedding with Krystian and Abigail

If you want to see how a wedding planner plans her own wedding… this is what it looks like. It was magic as you can imagine. Camp Mataponi is an all girls summer camp on Sebago Lake in southern Maine. In the shoulder seasons, they hold weddings. We have been here once before long ago with Colleen and Dan in 2016! We were excited to make it back and see how another wedding would unfold on the property.
When I think back to the day I remember a few really special moments. First and foremost, I remember Krystian sobbing at the altar, matched only by Abigail. It was so sweet to see how filled with joy they both were as they became married. I remember Abigail dancing with her ladies before the ceremony, potentially a better dance than any I saw on their very happening dance floor. I remember the beautiful and heartfelt details. I remember the lovely weather. I also remember I cut my bangs the day before the wedding and almost panicked that I would need to photograph the wedding with a paper bag over my head like Sonora Webster Carver. I remember tiny lobster rolls. I remember Abigail asking to wrap up the photos on the dock bc she was feeling queasy. It was a blast and Im so glad we were there.
