Owls Head, Maine, Engagement Session: Leah and David

A band teacher and his favorite lady. Puppies. Ocean. Bouys. That's the theme here for this session.

When they first told us about the plan for their engagement session, we were looking forward to it! Leah’s family spent the summers at their house on Owls Head near Rockland, so it was the perfect spot for their engagement session. It's always exciting to be invited to a family's vacation spot. Knowing how much people love the places we visit makes them even more magical. We drove up to the house, down a long road, and met her dad waiting outside. The puppies ran to greet us, and we finally got to meet Leah and David. The house is right along the coast, so we started there and found lots of discarded buoys to play with. We took quite a few photos of the flying bouys until we got ones that were just right. Anytime we take the ferry to North Haven Island, we try and spot their house from the water and remember these two cuties.

After some time at the house and with the dogs, we headed to a nearby park, the beautiful Birch Point State Park. This park has a great sandy beach and rocks all around the edges of the cove. We climbed around on the rocks and then frolicked a little bit in the water. One unforgettable moment was when a seagull let us get super close to them during the session. They had engagement photos taken with a seagull! A feathery guest star to remember. It was fun to photograph these two.

While their engagement session was in Maine, they were married in New York. Their wedding will live forever in our fondest memories. It was absolutely unforgettable. You can check out the wedding photos here.
