New Hampshire Seacoast Rainy Day Elopement with Shawn and Lis

It rained the entire time. Some might say that’s not perfect… but you already know what I’m going to say — it was perfect. The weather was moody, the light was soft, and the couple was pure sunshine. From the moment we met Shawn and Lis, it just worked. We understood each other instantly. They got our dynamic right away and trusted us completely, which made the day feel effortless in the best possible way.

We started the day inside, taking photos around the house while the rain poured down outside. There’s something about that kind of weather that draws people closer — it made everything feel calm and real. When it was time for the ceremony, we grabbed umbrellas and headed to the park. It was misting and raining the entire time, and somehow that made it even more alive. No hesitation, no complaints — just everyone leaning into the moment exactly as it was.

The ceremony was sweet, grounded, and full of sincerity.

The rain became part of it — part of the rhythm of the day.

Afterward, we took more photos of Shawn and Lis doing what they love most: being together on their motorcycle. Watching them ride off, soaked from the rain and fully themselves, felt like the perfect ending to their story that day.

At the end of the night, we said our goodbyes, gave them hugs, and watched them drive away into their marriage. So cool.

Some weddings remind you why you do this work. This was one of them — a day built on trust, connection, and the kind of understanding that doesn’t need to be explained.
